Food

Food in PEAK can be consumed to reduce
Hunger or gain
Bonus stamina. Some foods are
poisonous, while others have additional effects, such as healing
Injury or removing
Heat.
Players can forage for various natural foods, such as fruits, mushrooms, or find packaged food in Luggage.
Food can be cooked to double the amount of hunger restored and increase its bonus stamina.
The tables below list every food item obtainable in the game, including their nutritional properties, weight, additional effects, and other notes.
Natural food
Natural food can be found in almost every biome. It can be used to earn the
Naturalist Badge. Mystical items, such as the
Cure-All and
Pandora's Lunchbox, are also safe for the badge.

Mystical food
Mystical food is only found from Ancient Statues when there are no ghost scouts in need of revival and from Ancient Luggage. It is not considered packaged and therefore will not stop players from earning the
Naturalist Badge.

Mushrooms
Mushroom spawn locations are predetermined by the seed, although the same location may spawn a different number of mushrooms (including none) every time a run is started.
Mushrooms are considered natural food and thus are safe for the
Naturalist Badge.

Badges
Some badges are related to foods. Some requires eating a certain set of food, and others restrict the type of food the player can eat in the expedition. All food-related badges are listed below.
