Rarity
Rarity is a game mechanic in PEAK which controls the spawn rates of items. The higher an item's rarity, the less often it appears.
There are 7 levels of rarity present in the game, each with a corresponding weight:
| Rarity | Weight |
|---|---|
| Common | 100 |
| Uncommon | 50 |
| Rare | 30 |
| Epic | 20 |
| Legendary | 15 |
| Mythic | 5 |
| Ridiculously Rare | 1 |
An item's weight in a given spawn pool is dependent upon its rarity. The weight determines how many "copies" of an item are in a pool.
In general, the chance of any given item appearing from a spawn pool can be expressed as the fraction: ItemWeight / TotalWeight, where ItemWeight is the weight of the item, determined by its rarity, and TotalWeight is the sum of the weights of all the items in the pool.
Example
A spawn pool with an Uncommon, an Epic, and 2 Legendary items would have the following spawn chances:
| Item | Chance |
|---|---|
| Uncommon Item | 50% (50/100) |
| Epic Item | 20% (20/100) |
| Legendary Item 1 | 15% (15/100) |
| Legendary Item 2 | 15% (15/100) |
